I'm looking for proofreaders for several books that will be coming out in 2018. You'd receive an advance-copy PDF of the book, read it, and note any errors that you spot. It's a non-paying gig but your name would be included in the acknowledgments section of the book and you would also get a signed copy of the book once it is released.
If interested, shoot me an email and we can discuss this in further detail. RJJagger@Yahoo.com
The Golden Super Cruise takes place in Golden, Colorado on the first Saturday of every month, during the summer. Thousands of cars participate and people line the streets in chairs to watch the show. It is now one of the biggest cruises in the country. You can always count on RJ Jagger to be hanging around there all day.
In this video, you can see RJ Jagger driving his 1965 white Mustang convertible past the cameraman at time marker 1:50. Didn't know we were were being filmed. Pretty cool!
UPDATE: This sketch was for practice only and subsequently wiped off so the panel could be reused. In hindsight, I wish I'd kept it even though it wasn't of gallery quality. It has that spontaneous feel that can only come from painting fast and without worry.
It's summer in Colorado, meaning I have my sailboat Jo Jo back in the water and will start writing a new Nick Teffinger thriller down on the docks. Look for it to land sometime in the fall. Until then, stay well!
The "At Surf's Edge" series 1 through 8 was a practice set made up from imagination. Each painting was immediately wiped off after it was completed and photographed, and the next one was started on the same canvas panel. Since the paintings weren't intended to be permanent, it didn't matter if I made mistakes along the way, which meant that I could take chances I normally wouldn't. That's one way to (hopefully) grow as an artist.
Summer has landed in Colorado and so I'm shifting my time from writing to sailing my J22 and doing plein air paintings. I'll start writing again in earnest once the Denver rays fade off in October or November.
